Backstage, I was able to get a closer look at what the Napoleon team were creating to honour Bowie’s designs so perfectly.
Inspired by an ethereal beauty emerging from her birth place of an almost frozen lake, Napoleon describes the overall look…’the skin as polished, dewy and sunkissed, the lid is slightly frosted in tones of silver and pearl and the lip has been touched by the cold lake water – reminiscent of melting ice”
No heavy lines, definition or contouring were used it was all a very etherial look. It was subtle definition with washes of colour, with colours that were fused so nothing looks highly defined.
There was however a metallic accent on the eyelid that was reflective of the collection. The whole look was very light and luminous so just a very sheer glossy lip. The Napoleon Light Patrol Wheel was a big tool for the team it was a luminous wheel that has several different colours, and can be used on the cheeks, eyes and skin.
A few tips for creating this look at home, use a luminous dewy foundation like Napoleon Off Duty Tinted Moisturiser and the Light Patrol Luminizer Palette has everything you need for the rest the bronze on the eyelid and the silver on top of that for the accent and the pinky silver on the top cheek bone and rose on the cheek. For the lips all you need is a super shiny clear gloss.
