Sure it’s preppy and a little self-obsessed, but my favourite thing of the moment is personalizing or monogramming interiors, homewares, clutches, diaries and anything else I can get my hands on.
Perhaps its remnants of my youth where everything was labelled with my name loud and proud or perhaps its a need to make my things more unique in an increasingly cookie cutter shopping world but either way, I love it and I don’t think I am alone.
If you want to include a little monogramming or a personal touch in your home, try a few monogrammed cushions or pillow covers, or a set of metal or ornate letters in your chosen initials. You can basically get anything you possibly want monogrammed (Horchow has a great service here.)
Engraving of photoframes, desks and candlesticks is often popular or you could snap up a personalized diary (like these ones at Nieman Marcus).
If you want to go all out, you can design up a monogram or initial stencil and paint it onto a feature wall.
