Product Review: LUMI MAGIQUE PURE LIGHT PRIMER

If there is one product I use without fail, every day it has to be L’Oreal Paris’s Lumi Maguique Pure Light Primer. A mouthful I know, but it is every bit as amazing and magical as the name suggests.

In my line of work I end up trialing a great deal of beauty products so when I come across something that I LOVE, I don’t let it go. Not to mention, as far as quality primers go, this lasts quite a while for a very good price. So lets get down to it.

Product: When you first pump out the primer, it is an opaque pearly white colour that can actually be a bit daunting. It’s surprising though, as soon as you blend it in, what an instantaneous difference it makes straight away without even having to apply foundation.

Often, with products that promise radiance or any sort of luminous effect often produce something of a greasy or sweaty effect. Too much glitter or sheen ends up with your face looking a bit oily.  Unlike those, the Lumi Magique primer has an ultra-light, pearlescent and shimmery formula that blends into the skin. It is honestly like giving your face an instant glow and it always turns me from looking a little tired into fresh faced. It makes your skin look dewy and plump too!

Several makeup artists that I have spoken to about this product have sung its praises, and while it is designed as a primer before foundation, many use it as a highlighter and definer, using it post foundation on the brow and cheek bones as well as the cupids bow for a really beautiful, fresh sheen.

Packaging: The packaging is great, and surprisingly holds a fair amount considering its size. In true L’Oreal fashion the packaging and branding is luxe- a thin tube with a pump action to dispense which makes for easy application.

Price: Totally affordable at $29.95. I know this might seem a little steep but it lasts for ages- probably every three months.

Rating: 9 out of 10. MUST HAVE PRODUCT.

Shop it: At Priceline.
