It was a full house for Watson X Watson’s Spring Summer 2013 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia.
The grunge-gone-luxe inspired collection, is described as the ‘surfer girl with an uptown twist’ which was complete on the runway with a custom printed Watson x Watson surfboard.
The collection makes reference to life on the beachside, which very much reflects the Australian aesthetic in abstract prints, beautiful fluid silks that moved with elegance, sheer silk-cottons, reflective sequins and metallic highlights, creating a rich collaboration of texture.
A definite standout is a classic flanelette shirt print, set against a beautiful backdrop of silver dipped driftwood.
