The Best Instagram Accounts to Follow: Six degrees of separation to Miranda Kerr’s jeans

Being new to the whole Instagram world, I was a bit lost when it came to getting started. I set up my profile and then…ummm…what now? Remember those ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ novels? Those were my ultimate pastime growing up. It turns out Instagram is like an adult’s version. But with fashion. And models. And food. And here’s my (unsubstantiated) theory: No matter where you turn to on Instagram, somehow everyone is related to Miranda Kerr’s jeans. Seriously. No matter which path you choose on this social media choose-your-own-adventure, somehow it all comes back to MK’s high waisted skinny jeans. It’s like six degrees of denim separation. Give it a try, you’ll see! So here’s my whacky pathway (all linked by six degrees!)

It started innocently enough. A friend followed Lindy Klim and as my first celebrity follow I thought it was a patriotic choice. And then I saw these jeans:

So then I followed Nobody Denim and My Empirical Life. And then I bought those jeans. And then I realised that Instagram is going to be a very expensive time waster!

If fashion bloggers are your weakness, you’ll love this account. Again, united by denim, I stumbled across this lovely lady after she was tagged by Lindy Klim. See above. And…then….THESE. JEANS.

3. Nobody Denim

Because I love jeans. LOVE them. See above. High waisted jeans. Skinny jeans. Boyfriend jeans. Oh my. And then I spotted Miranda Kerr rocking these Nobody’s. So I had to follow her too.

4. Miranda Kerr

I’m not even a groupie! But if you’re into fashion, fitness, inspirational quotes, random dog photos and travel pics this account is the place for you.

5. Vogue Australia

Miranda Kerr gets tagged a lot. On the runway. On the street. On the beach. This led me to follow Vogue. Because, well….VOGUE. Pretty dresses, pretty people, food, parties, jewellery. Swoon. Once you’re following Vogue, the choose-your-own-adventure game just gets even more exciting. It’s celebrities and brands galore.

And it all gets linked back to Miranda Kerr, which gets linked backed to Nobody Denim, which opens up the world of fashion bloggers, which opens up my wallet….and another window in Safari….and a spot of online shopping.
