Here comes part two of my video diary documenting my fitness journey at Virgin Active Health Clubs, dressed to the sporting nines in Adidas Australia.
As a dancer, I initially scoffed when Zumba first reared its energetic head. I challenge anyone though, to stand in a Zumba class with its fun beats and energetic instructors and not get into the action! I highly recommend a Zumba class to anyone that wants to get fit, but also enjoy themselves whilst doing it- particularly if you are hitting a workout with your girlfriends.
The second class I took was a Bums and Bellies workout. Boy did that work me out! Like many women I am sure, the two places I am most self-conscious about are my stomach and my butt. I am on the never ending quest to rid my stomach of that little jiggle!
The class was definitely challenging, and definitely intense, but I would (and have!) done it again because it really does work those problem areas VERY hard!!
One of things I love most about Virgin Active is the decor and vibe- and this is perfectly communicated to you in their change rooms. While you have the normal locker room/shower situation, there is also what I would call a Pamper Room (it deserves the uppercase) with its delicate wall paper, floor to ceiling mirrors and an array of GHD and Parlux straighteners and hair dryers. It means that you can have a lunchtime or after work session, get sweaty, and still be fresh for work or a night out!
Check me out below, with my super stylin’ moves.
