I love M.A.C products, and needed a new blush. I myself usually use powder blushes and have never tried or even been tempted to take the risk of trying a creme blush, but this one is definitely one to keep in mind.
Even if the colour “Lilicent” (the only one which suits my skin tone perfectly) is to be discontinued. But isn’t that always the way!
PACKAGING:
Comes in the traditional packaging of all the M.A.C products, a plain black box. This one has a cutout in the front so the actual colour of the product is able to be seen. Open it up, and it is the well known circular black container with a transparent lid. This packaging can take a good bashing though and never break. Something rarely found with most makeup brands.
PRODUCT:
Fantastic. Off the cheek the first impression I got was it was going to look blotchy, but it glides on flawlessly! The product will last you absolutely ages as well as you only need a tiny bit to give your cheeks just the right amount of rosy hue.
APPLICATION:
So simple. I am an “apply your makeup with your fingers” person, as the heat of my hands works better for me to apply makeup than a brush (although so many people will disagree with me) so a tiny bit is enough to blend into your cheeks. But if you want to use a brush, a firm hand and a little blending after applying straight over the top of your base foundation or powder will give exactly the same effect.
The result? Looks completely natural and blends so well with foundation and powder. I definitely will not be going back to powder blush in the near future.
I give this product a 9/10. Again, the price is a bit rich. At about $41 a pop (which you can purchase here at Mac.com.au) , but as I said, this is going to last you a very very long time, so it probably evens out in the end.
