I wasn’t always a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow, to be honest. I found the concept of her site GOOP, a little pretentious and very far fetched- as the ordinary gal such as you or me could not afford or attain much of the desirable lifestyle she flogs to us.
Then Paltrow made her debut as the slightly crazy, effortlessly cool Holly Holiday on Glee. Is it sad that I have turned a complete 180 degrees on my opinion of her because of that one character? Probably. In any case, whether it be my Glee coloured glasses or the fact that she hired a better stylist but I am loving her style as of late.
To top it off, in GOOP’s latest spring newsletter Gwyneth teams up with my not-so-secret vice Net-A-Porter.com to put together her “Summer Staples” wardrobe- “self-styling” herself like a pro.
Proenza Schouler, Chloé, Stella McCartney (whom Gwyneth counts among her personal friends) and Isabel Marant make the list of mostly unattainable pieces, however the outfits themselves do present us with some great tips for putting together a classic spring/summer wardrobe.
