Esprit is joining their voice with UN Women for International Women’s Day on March 8th, by releasing a limited edition range of purple merchandise that will raise money for the cause. Of the profits, 50% of the profits will be donated to UN Women’s Critical Services Initiative which promotes empowerment and ending violence against women.
The Purple range is made up of 24 pieces which will be available at Esprit stores throughout Australia, and offers everything from basic tees to silk blouses.
You can shop the collection for the whole month of March, which includes the sale of Purple ribbons in-store, as well as encouraging online donations.
The Critical Services Initiative’s main focus presently is aiding women in Papua New Guinea. A simple $3.50 donation assists in helping to provide counselling and support for survivors of violence, provide food for a women living in shelters, and provide training for police officers in how to respond to domestic violence.
Says Jennifer Tapia, of Esprit “Esprit is very proud to support UN Women Australia’s ‘Critical Services Project’ in supporting and educating communities on ending violence against women. Our values and vision resonate with the Esprit woman and the project provides an opportunity to make a concrete impact on a woman’s life.”
