Behind The Scenes With Peter Alexander

I recently had the pleasure of heading behind the scenes of the latest Peter Alexander campaign shoot “Hello Kitty” which sees the Hello Kitty brand, cheekily revamped and brought to Australia.

It’s no mean feat that Alexander secured the Hello Kitty franchise to redesign and sell throughout Oz. The brand is notorious for being protective of its brand, so its a testament to the Peter Alexander name and the kind of influence that it brings with it.

Peter sits with us behind the scenes as the model is primped and preened ready for action. He is incredibly down to earth and hospitable, making sure I am comfortable and chatting away about his puppies, his flight and his plans for this year. It strikes me later that the CEO and face of a very large, and very successful company is playing dressups and chatting about Instagram with me, and while the experience should seem surreal- it is completely and utterly normal…because that is just who Peter Alexander is.

The Hello Kitty collection is everything the Peter Alexander brand is known for, super cute (or super kawaii as the Japanese would say), tongue in cheek, comfortable yet feminine and flattering.
