Audrey Hepburn Auction: 10 Precious Pieces You Can Actually Buy

We have previously talked about the ways to adopt Audrey Hepburn’s iconic style into our wardrobes, but what if we told you there was an opportunity to literally buy some of the pieces she wore and loved?

It sounds crazy, but what we’re about to see is the 3rd and final part of the Audrey Hepburn Collection auction at Christie’s in London. Currently on view, the collection will go under the hammer in early May.

The auction includes over 200 personal items previously owned by Audrey Hepburn, which are now offered for sale by her sons Luca Dotti and Sean Hepburn Ferrer. Our favourites include dresses and coats by Givenchy, a beautiful pearl necklace inherited from her mother, as well as a collection of completely timeless ribbons and bows, also by Givenchy.

Her sons commented “Having taken 25 years to be ready to share our mother’s personal world, we were truly touched by the global response to Part I and II of her collection. It is with pleasure that we now present Part III – a further group of her belongings that we feel will be of interest to her ever-growing base of admirers.”

Browsing the lots provides a glimpse into the intimate world of this style icon, with clothing, jewellery, photography and film memorabilia all listed. We couldn’t help but pore through the pages to see some of her possessions up close.

Says Christies – “The sales will offer fans and collectors alike the opportunity to acquire unique personal objects which have never before been seen on the market, and which will undoubtedly offer new insights into the remarkable life of a remarkable woman.”

We have rounded up the 10 most precious pieces from the Audrey Hepburn auction below.
