The cold season isn’t normally the time of year we look forward to the most. It’s damp, gloomy and cold (hence the reason our hair adopts the “just rolled out of bed” style for the season).
Were it not for the great winter clothing, then we might have just considered hibernating throughout the cold spell altogether. Although, hot chocolates and cosy nights-in are also an added bonus.

Throw out last season’s cinched waists and polished pieces, because this year it is all about big shapes, futuristic rain jackets and edgy designs. We’re talking outerwear that is so slouchy and so relaxed that we get top style points for looking effortlessly cool.

Puffer jackets might have once been considered a coat that only your 50-year-old Geography teacher wore in the 90’s. Until now that is, because they are finally stylish: Balenciaga’s AW17 show says so.
It would seem that, for once, designers have realised that all we really want to do is basically strut around in our doona all day. The bigger, brighter and more deconstructed from the traditional puffer, the better.
