#2 – Swap to a water-based moisturiser:
A good way to avoid breakouts in the first place is to choose a moisturiser which is neither too oily or too light for your skin type. While finding the perfect moisturiser is easier said than done, (and this process can get complicated with the change in seasons), it’s definitely worth the effort to find a moisturiser that matches your skin type.
For example, if you have is oily skin, often an oil balancing facial lotion is the way to go, and if you have dry skin, a heavier, nourishing moisturiser is a must.
However, if you’re somewhere in-between, or looking to try something different, then you also have the option of a water-based moisturiser. Water-based moisturisers are thought to keep your skin moisturised for a longer period of time as the absorption rate is high. A good option is L’Oréal Paris Hydra Normal/Oily Skin.
