Introducing: David Jones X BWA

I am so excited to announce our partnership with none other than David JonesΒ in the leadup to Christmas and New Years!! Through the season of bikinis and Christmas puddings I’ll be bringing you inspiration, tips and ideas to make your silly season brighter, easier and chicer.

I think my love of David Jones started at a very young age, thanks to my mother’s long time adoration of beautiful things which unfortunately for my bank account, I have inherited. Christmas time at David Jones was always my favorite, visiting the window displays in the city or visiting Santa Claus. I remember the first time I walked into the city store here in Sydney and heard the grand piano playing on the ground floor. I felt like Eloise living at The Plaza and it was utterly magical.

Years later, I worked in the Shoes and Accessories department while studying at uni, and there truly began my love of beautiful shoes and handbags. If I had to name a favourite department it would have to be shoes. My first pair of designer shoes were from David Jones, an amazing pair of patent Bally flats that I saved up for forever. I still have them, and love them to this day.

For me David Jones is for the special things, and for the experience. I still visit counters to trial new foundations, despite the boom in online offerings. I always do my Christmas shopping there, because I love the gift wrapping service, and next year when I get married my registry will be with David Jones too. Just imagine all the chic houndstooth wrapped wedding presents arriving on my doorstep!

I can’t wait to share with you what I have collaborated with David Jones on their Black and White blog over the next few weeks…stay tuned!

Tash from BWA xx

David Jones has seemed quite old fashioned to me in recent years.
