#3 – Christmas Pool Party
Food:
Nothing says “Aussie Chrissy” quite like a party around a pool. For a fun, modern twist, why not swap out your usual steaks and sausages for a lighter lunch filled with fresh salads, and a BBQ seafood antipasto? A nice idea for barbecued seafood is lobster tails and prawns with a light creamy avocado dip for relief.
Drinks:
Bubbles, wines and ales are a must. Freshly squeezed lemonade and home-made iced tea is also a great addition to the drinks menu.
Dress:
A play-suit or long halter-neck dress. Something simple and flowy that compliments your swimwear, of course!
Setting the scene:
With the pool as the centrepiece, floating Christmas inflatables and other floating pool decorations are a MUST. If possible, look for ones that illuminate, so the pool becomes a Christmas wonderland as it gets darker.
