DIY Body Scrub

By incorporating all-natural ingredients over the synthetic ones you’ll most commonly find in store-bought body scrubs, the benefits are enormous:

Brown Sugar: Not only does brown sugar remove dead skin cells whilst improving circulation, it contains glycolic acid (an alpha-hydroxy acid often found in high-end skincare products) to keep skin healthy. Using a brown sugar scrub improves your skin’s ability to keep its natural moisture balance.

Olive Oil: There are a variety of antioxidants in olive oil including Vitamin E and A, but the most impressive compound is hydroxytyrosol. Hydroxytyrosol is a rare antioxidant found that prevents free radical damage on skin cells. This compound also absorbs deeply into the skin and is suitable for all skin types. For this reason, olive oil has very potent anti-inflammatory properties.

Honey: Honey is a natural antioxidant and has anti-microbial properties that helpsto protect the skin from sun damage. Honey also supports the skin’s ability to rejuvenate and refresh leaving it feeling silky soft and supple!

SO – there you have it guys! A two minute DIY Body Scrub that is super-affordable and good for you too!

Natural exfoliators look like a great way to use up sugar in my pantry that I no longer will be eating (I’ve gone sugar-free).
