The world of PR is fast paced, high stress and demands the very best of you each and every day. Sarah and Emma, senior PR executives at Sydney based PR Agency Bespoke represent a positively lust-worthy list of clients that include My-Wardrobe.com, The Mode Collective and Project Runway graduate Jamie Ashkar- living the dream that so many girls aspire to.

We chatted to Sarah and Emma about their careers and the girls documented a day in the life of a Bespoke PR girl for us so you all could sneak a peek of what it’s like to work in world of the fashion PR!

Sarah’s Diary…

7 am: Alarm goes off, contemplate going to the gym but go back to sleep.

730 am: Snooze.

745 am: Check all my emails and social media feeds then go on to spend an entire hour rearranging my wardrobe into a floor-drobe before eventually finding my outfit for the day. Run downstairs, and out the door!

9am: Breakfast meeting with one of our favourite bloggers to discuss some very exciting travel plans with one of our clients.. Did someone say Spain?

11am: Back in the office, it’s time to attend to my ever increasing email inbox. Product calls, collaboration opportunities, etc are being co-ordinated all whilst back to back stylist appointments pulling garments for their celebrity clients.

1.30pm: Time for lunch, head downstairs to Crave Coffee and grab their soup of the day. One of my clients is having a profile piece done for a magazine, so there’s a photo shoot in the office – hair, makeup and stylists are taking over the showroom. It’s very exciting watching it all happen and even better when you see the final product in print!

3pm: Photo shoot has wrapped and the new season Mister Zimi samples have just landed, so meeting time with the designer to discuss strategy, goals and potential upcoming opportunities, one involving the best Australian music festival, Splendour in the Grass.

4pm: Sugar cravings hit, down to the convenience store for a box of chocolate covered digestives (standard!)

6pm: Finally finished for the day. Quick outfit change then head out for dinner and drinks at my favourite spot, Bondi Hardware with the girls.

Emma’s Diary…

7am: Alarm goes off, I get myself out of bed and choose an outfit, shoes and bag. Hop on my bike and ride to work, picking up coffee – large flat white, and a pastry at my favorite little coffee shop on the way.

8am: Oversee hair and make up for a look book shoot happening in the office today whilst going through emails, contacting stylists to get our pieces on a celebrity for an event and another for a music video clip being filmed on the weekend.

10am: Still shooting, helping style the looks and the model in between sending out product samples to Russh, In Style, Cleo and Harper’s Bazaar.

1pm: It’s a wrap for the shoot. Quick lunch at my desk then I’ve got a client in to have a meeting to discuss our strategy for the next month and the styles for their next collection.

3pm: Our favorite DHL man comes and drops off a big box of new season samples! Unpacking the box is like Christmas, then the garments get hung and I write up a press release on the collection and send out to our media database.

6pm: Done for the day! A quick fix up and outfit change in the office then it’s off to drinks with our favorite photographer to start planning our next project.
