Today we were lucky enough to speak to Emma about the inspiration for Tussah plus where she looks to for trends. Emma also shares some key styles for the winter season!

Tell us about Tussah the label. When was it launched? What inspired you to create the label?
Tussah has just turned one and we are celebrating our first year of creating staple pieces for every woman and every occasion. We aim to make our girl feel sexy and confident always! I love to focus on bright colours and fun, bold prints whilst keeping the silhouette very wearable.
What do you think about when designing Tussah?
I think about the Tussah girl and her life – where is she going this weekend? What will she wear to her next meeting? Where is her next occasion? I want to create a versatile range for our girl to keep her on trend and looking effortless and glamorous and feeling comfortable. Being comfortable is key!
Who is the Tussah girl? Where can we find her on the weekends?
The Tussah Girl is strong and spirited, confident and career driven. She needs her wardrobe to keep up with her fast paced lifestyle and take her from the office to after work drinks. She has a busy social calendar and loves to look her best and turn heads in her newest purchase.
Where do you look to for trends?
I look to international fashion weeks for key trends for the season and I get a lot of inspiration being around town and seeing our Tussah girl in her natural habitat. I think its important to keep in touch with our customer and social media is a great way to stay connected with our girl, so we are engaging with her lifestyle and know what she wants to wear and where to.
Do you have any style icons? Any favourite celebrities who you would love to see wearing Tussah?
Ashley Graham epitomises who the Tussah girl is and I love her vibe! She’s confident, sexy and driven which is what we are all about!
What are some of the things we will be wearing this winter?
This winter the Tussah team will be wearing our favourite new knit jumpers in soft pastel colours teamed with a staple mini like our Fuji skirt, perfect for an office chic look. We are also loving a statement coat in a bold colour like our new Michelle Coat in coral that landed this week on The Iconic.
