Our regular guest blogger Sophia from Moulinfrock reviews Oh, Lola!.
Very rarely do sequels surpass the original. Though, there have been notable exceptions – Lord of the Rings (though to be fair, the whole trilogy is excellent), Star Wars (talking about the Original Trilogy here), and now, Oh, Lola! by Marc Jacobs.
If you’re looking for looking for a new summer fragrance, I suggest you look no further. This fresh and lively scent is perfect for frolicking in the sand, grass, carpet and pretty much any other surface you desire.
The younger sister of Jacobs’ original Lola contains top notes of pear and raspberry, heart notes of peony (which is coming very close to becoming my favourite flower), magnolia, cyclamen and basenotes of sandalwood, tonka bean and vanilla.
So think of fruitful first spritz that settles into a comforting soft scent – sort of like that initial splash in the water that gets you all chilled and goosebump-like and then, after time, all you want to do is lay in the deep blue sea.
I actually have two variants of this fragrance – the 50mL and the purse spray (for on the go showers). I was actually so excited to spray it yesterday that I unknowingly got some in my mug. Why I was spraying over a perfectly good cup of tea, I don’t know. Anyway, let’s just stay the tea tasted a lot more fragrant than usual.
Oh Lola! retails at $75, $120 and $160 for 30mL, 50mL and 100mL, respectively, shop it here or at any good department store.
