This was one of my favourite L’Oreal Paris Runway shows to date thus far at LMFF and with good reason.
The lineup consisted of some of the brightest labels Australia has to offer: Friend of Mine, Gorman, Kuwaii, Leonard Street, Limedrop and Nevenka who all fit so exquisitely with the Frankie aesthetic.
The set dressing team did a spot on job, creating mini campsites on the runway complete with teepees and crochet cacti.
A messy braid paired with bronze eyeshadow and a burnt orange lip emanated a model of duty vibe which worked perfectly with the free spirited aesthetic of the show, that was so very Frankie.
As always, Friend of Mine had leather galore- most memorably Kate Peck in a liquid look pair of fire engine red leather pants.
For me, Limedrop is a clear favourite. Lovely digital prints in A/W appropriate colours are paired with flattering A line skirts.
Leonard St brought us head to toe picture perfect prints, reminiscent of pajama print outerwear 2.0. Gorman and Kawaii had a relaxed, feminine aesthetic that exudes comfort and effortless style.
All in all a runway collection that was cohesive, charming and altogether wearable.
