Kate Upton cops an immense amount of scrutiny about her figure. Of course, it is all part and parcel of accepting a position in the public eye, and nothing is more public than the cover of Vogue!
Upton has finally landed front and center of their June issue under the tagline American Dream Girl. Shot by none other than Mario Testino Upton is the first model (rather than celebrity) to cover the iconic magazine since Kate Moss and her wedding feature in late 2011.
Of course, with the media fascination on Upton’s curves much of the interview revolves around her body. Says Upton in the accompanying interview:
On internet criticism about possible weight gain earlier this year: “It was hard at first…You sit there and you’re like ‘Is something wrong with me?The things that they’re rejecting are things that I can’t change. I can’t change my bra size. They’re natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can’t change some things. I really just live my life. I love my body. It’s what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great.”
I for one think Miss Upton is a goddess!
