Guest Editor Beauty How-To: A Pink Smokey Eye

Check out Janice’s step-by-step guide to the Pink Smokey Eye look using Make Up Store’s Eye Dust!

Step 1. You can throw on some contacts to create a more dramatic eye look. I’m using GEO princess bambi lenses in Sesame Grey.

Step 2. I’m patting on Make Up Store’s Eye Dust Fantasy Blush all over the lid and just above the crease. Pat the dust on for less fall out and more pigmentation.

Step 3. I’m taking a medium brown shade to darken the outer corner of my eye. You can also choose a dark plum colour if you wish to emphasise more of the “pink”/”purple”. I’m using an angled eyeshadow brush to apply trhe shadow to create a “v” on the outer corner of my eyes.

Step 4. Apply a liquid eyeliner to darken the eyes – I’m using SAX liquid eyeliner in black. Wing out the eyeliner slightly towards the outer corner.

Step 5. Choose a dramatic pair of dark false eyelashes to really bring out your eyes. Curl your natural lashes with the false eyelashes to blend.

Step 6. Take a purple liquid eyeliner to line the lower lash line. This creates a subtle rim to the lower eye since the upper eye is already so dramatic. I’m using Barry M’s purple liquid eyeliner.

Step 7. Balance the eyes by applying lengthening and separating mascara on the lower lashes.

Your finished eye look!

Congratulations!! You’ve completed the simple pink smoky eye makeup and now you can head off to a party!!

Have fun & goodluck!
