Beauty How-To: Fuller Brows

Now more often than not, you’ve thought about filling in your eyebrows with an eyeliner right? Especially if you have lighter, thinner brows than the lucky ones!

Here are a few tips to make sure that you get the right colour and consistency so that they look absolutely natural!

1. The colour
For those ladies with blonde or light brown hair, use a eyeliner that is about 3 shades darker than your natural hair colour. Test them out on the back of your hands to have a look.
For ladies with darker hair, use a shade 1-2 tones lighter than your hair colour.

2. Drawing them in
Use a light hand and short light strokes following the natural shape of your brow. Don’t try colouring them in as it looks blocked and unnatural – the total opposite of what you want.
Use a slightly heavier hand at the start of your brows then lighten and fan out using short, swift hand motions.

3. Intensity
Make sure that the intensity and heaviness of your eyebrows does not overpower your other facial features as filling them is used to frame your facial features, not overpower them with dark brows.

When I try using a pencil, it doesn’t look natural. I advise shadow. It gives off a more natural look.:D

no you don’t, make it one or two shades lighter because black pencil is jet black, darker than most brows, it will overpower your facial features

thinner eyebrows suit certain faces but by filling them in they define your features a lot better – we aren’t promoting bushy, wild eyebrows, just ones that aren’t as sparse as usual; that define the eye and cheekbones better

I have really blonde (invisible!) brows and I colour them the same colour as my hair, looks like I have been choosing the wrong shade for my brows.

      Reply MissBee218 Sunday 25th September, 2011 at 1:06 pm

its quite normal for blondes (natural or dyed) to have darker brows, so always colour them a bit darker (up to 3 shades) than your natural hair colour, it will really make the difference

your eyebrows frame your facial features, by filling them in a little bit and defining them, it really makes your eyes and cheekbones more pronounced

Also you could just get your eyebrows tinted either the DIY way or at a salon. Defined brows definitely bring out peoples eyes.
