As you BWA-ers probably know, Lace is still a big fashion trend this season, with the likes of Miu Miu, Prada and Valentino reworking it in their S/S 2012 collections. It is such a hot trend that it’s even making its mark in the beauty world. No ladies, I’m not talking about lace or paper eyelashes. There is something bigger and bolder out now – Face Lace. A brainchild of make-up artist Phyllis Cohen, Face Lace is basically stick on, ready to wear eye designs that take your look to a whole new Masquerade ball-esque level!
This unique ‘face decoration’ was first seen on models in Corrie Nielsen’s London fashion show back in February, and has just been translated from the catwalk to the sidewalk! You can choose from 15 bold and intricate designs ranging from the smaller eyelaces to masks and Mehndoodles (what Phyllis calls her Mendhi/henna inspired designs). The great thing about these laces is that you don’t have to spend hours drawing on your face with eyeliner anymore when you can get the same (or better) result in under a minute. Even those with sensitive skin like me can join the party since the adhesive backing is hypoallergenic.
You can buy Face Lace from their website (prices range from £13.95 to £19.95, plus shipping fees), so these cool embellishments can be yours with just a few easy clicks!
What do you think of this new beauty creation? Are you daring enough to lace your face?
Wendy xx.

Wow!
it looks cool
love it for photos
very pretty
It just isn’t wearable for every day. Fantastic for runways though!
Luv the face lace! Would love an occasion to wear it to, perhaps a smaller version of the one pictured would be more wearable for a night out on the town … I’d certainly like to try it!
I think these would be super fun for a halloween party or some costume party 🙂
looks good in photos but that’s about it
this looks amazing but i dont think i’d wear it
Not a fan – except maybe for fancy dress?
Maybe for a costume party yes.
very niche market for this product. can’t see it becoming streetwear.
Definitely not for everyday wear!
I love it, but it’s definitely not practical!
Going to Lady Gaga in June and these will be perfect!!!
that is so awesome 🙂
Would be awesome for a masquerade ball or fancy dress party, but I can’t see myself trying it really….
I’ve been doing that for a while (for occasions not everyday) but with eyeliner.
…interesting…
Ohh, I remember doing that with liquid eyeliner back in high school.. this looks much easier 😉
oh maybe for a fancy dress

Probably used for rare occasions…
so pretty but not useful!
They’re really pretty, but as has been said, not really wearable in daily life.

Looks pretty, but can’t see it taking off in “real life”
It’s a bit too bold for me!
