When I think CC, pictures of iconic jackets and luxe accessories usually come to mind. Funnily enough, Chanel has a lot to do with the latest development in beauty, with their release of their Complete Correction range to the overseas market.
If CC creams don’t ring a bell yet, they will if the BB Cream case study is anything to go by.
CC Creams, standing for Colour Correction have been released by several of the big beauty houses internationally and in Australia and are already proving immensely popular.
The difference between a BB Cream and a CC Cream is that the latter are more lightweight and provide less coverage than the BB as they are more focused on concealing, correcting colour, brightening and evening skin tone.
BB Creams on the other hand, provide more coverage and are more about nourishing and hydrating the skin whilst providing enough of a base to go out with.
If you have uneven skin tone, like rosacea or blotchiness the CC Cream is for you. You could use it as a natural base if you want an effortless look or under a foundation for a flawless finish.
For me, a BB Cream works better for me if I only want to wear it as a base and want a more natural look. It gives me more coverage, and that makes me more confident. If I am having a blotchy day (lets face it, we all do) then I use L’Oreal’s CC Cream underneath my usual Clinique foundation.
