Interior Inspiration: The Home Office

For many, the reality of working or studying from home means dining rooms over-run with computers, empty coffee cups and last year’s unfinished BAS statements.

It also means holding phone meetings whilst lying on the sofa and a working life that follows you like a shadow pretty much everywhere you go: papers and paraphenalia scattered in the bedroom, cords and gadgets cluttering up the kitchen, no actual place to put anything. If you don’t have a reliable research paper writer that can help you, it all gets a bit much.

If this sounds familiar, it’s time to look at setting up a proper home office, or even a nook where you can work to your heart’s content, then turn your back. Somewhere neat. Orderly. Glamourous and inspiring.

Consider investing in a periodic office cleaning service if you find keeping on top of things tricky. These are the goals anyway. A designated “command centre” if you will, that’s set up ready to go – enabling you to think with a clear head and kick butt! The holy grail of work spaces, is creating somewhere so well thought out and lovely, that you cannot wait to get there in the morning.

So, if you’re looking for a little inspiration, or need convincing that a revamped home office is in order, these beautiful examples will get you off on the right foot.

Convincing my husband not to dump “important papers” on the desk is my big challenge.

I have a monochrome office going on in my house but I think it’s in serious need of a pop of colour! What is the best pop colour this season to freshen up my work zone? Green for tranquility or something more vibrant??

These are all gorgeous! The jimmy choo desk is incredible BUT maybe I’m too pratical because although these are all beautiful rooms they are all terrible working chairs for your back. Wow. Unless they are just for show or you are only doing 20 minutes work (and good on you if so you lucky duck) then you would be doing some serious damage or at lease just be uncomfortable. I will with a Harvey miller chair. Sure not be as smoking hot as these chairs but sure am able to sit well all day. The rest are gorgeous. And huge space inspo
