Why you should use an eye cream!

I’ll admit it, I often pass on parts of my beauty routine because I either can’t be bothered or don’t have enough time. Preventative skin care can often seem tedious because you don’t see any immediate return- but I know that thirty years down the track I know I will be thanking myself.

So if you are anything like me, you often pass up the purchase and use of eye creams either because you think you don’t need them yet or just don’t see the point.

If so, rewind! Get yourself to your closest department store or Priceline and pick yourself up a little something for your eyes! Or, check out this site: https://www.pierremichelbeauty.com/best-wrinkle-cream/ for a list of the best wrinkle creams to help you press pause on the ageing process.

So why? The area around your eye is very different skin to the rest of your face…its thinner, and more susceptible to the elements, and in particular to showing aging as it has fewer oil and water glands.

Basically we are one of two teams, trying to prevent wrinkles or to treat them. And both teams need eye cream just the same. One of the biggest causal factors of wrinkles around the eyes is smiling (unfortunately) so the better time you are having, the more likely the wrinkles as your skin is being creased regularly.

The more you hydrate the skin around this area, the less the skin will wrinkle. Other preventative measures include sunnies, to reduce the amount of squinting you might do in the sun (not to mention sun protection for your eyes).

I wouldn’t suggest the Benefit or Kiehl’s simply because they are packaged in jars – the antioxidants and powerful ingredients will lose their potential because the ingredients are sensitive to air and light
