Wardrobe Inspiration

I’m planning on moving house soon and thus am planning about a million different ideas on how to update the entire house!

In fact, I am contemplating getting a place with an extra room which I have told my boyfriend can be a “study” when it will really be my second wardrobe.

While some of these decadent wardrobes are pretty unattainable for those of us without a million dollars at our disposal there are definitely tips and tricks you can take away from them.

Personally I love the use of wallpaper to style up your wardrobe or a chandelier or hanging light to give it character, but really the wardrobe is your oyster!

My mother taught me long ago that a well organised space reflects a well organised mind and I must say I agree wholeheartedly (although I didn’t when I was fourteen and forced to clean my room…).

Enjoy some wardrobe inspiration below!

Particularly like the one 4th from the bottom… it’s like the clothes are dressing the closet :)! Super chic.

If I had a wardrobe like that, I’d install a bath and kitchen in there and never come out!

I also tried to convince the boyfriend that the small second bedroom would make a great walk in wardrobe. Alas he’s smarter then he looks and point blankly refused.

Organized closet, organized mind…yeah that’s so not me. I take a day out of the month and whip the space into shape only to slowly watch it deteriorate each day. I did go to IKEA recently and spotted some new wardrobes that I loved…maybe some new furniture will help me keep the space picture ready like these great snapshots

Oh I forgot to say, I saw the one Mariah Carey had a few years ago on one of those tv shows when they give a tour of one of their properties and hers was very elegant, comfortable and hella spacious.

Impressive but when I look a them I think ‘you know, the modern woman really owns too many clothes, and that includes me… ouch’.

My house is a 1950’s weatherboard and my wardrobe is built it. I had to painfully give one half of the full double doors to my man when he moved in last year. Even though I’ve shifted some seasonal items into a stand alone wardrobe in the “study” I’m still totally at odds for space. Especially for shoes, bags and accessories! My door doesn’t close at the moment as the hooks hanging over it are so jam packed with belts, scarves and bags. I’ve really got to think of a better solution!!
