Vera Wang Spring 2013 Bridal

Vera Wang’s bridal collection for Spring 2013 certainly makes a memorable statement in a huge array of monochrome gowns that vary from scarlet red to deep wine.

The collection is clearly aimed at Wang’s Chinese market as red is the traditional wedding colour in China, symbolizing prosperity and love.

The collection is charmingly titled “Mei Meng” which translates to beautiful dreams.

Not to worry! Each of these gorgeous gowns will also be available in ivory for the classic western bride.

Can’t imagine wearing a red wedding gown but the Chinese probably can’t imagine wearing white.

Fantastic to release the collection in red shades – that’s what great designers do is push people’s thinking of how to dress, live etc

They look stunning. i think you would find there are some brides who get married in dresses which are different colours alot more now other than white/ivory/cream etc. I’ve seen a bride wear a black dress.
