In Your Seat:

Tip #1 –

If you’re able to, the best way to start a flight is barefaced. You’ll want to be able to top up your skin care routine easily throughout the trip, and clean skin means less product in your carry-on.

Tip #2 –

Keep skin protected with a combination of serum and moisturiser layered. We love Peter Thomas Roth Oilless Oil (RRP $49) underneath Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (RRP $59.00).

Tip #3 –

If your flight spans over more than 8 hours, as part of your skin care routine you may like to cleanse your face at the halfway point – however, try to avoid makeup wipes. Lips can chap quickly in the arid cabin air, so reapply a thick balm as often as possible, which can also double as a cuticle treatment.

Tip #4 –

And if you wear contact lenses, switching into your glasses for a flight helps to reduce irritation due to the dry environment – and you won’t need to be fumbling with those tiny lens cases in the bathroom stall.

The Rohto range of eyedrops are by far the most effective at combatting redness (approx $8.00 RRP) – try the Arctic variety for the equivalent of a breath mint for your eyes.

Tip #5 –

The usual rules – plenty of water and occasional walks around the cabin – still apply, and act as backup to reduce fatigued skin on the face and body.
