Top Five Australian Interiors Blogs To Follow

It’s no secret, we are pretty much obsessed with interior design here at BWA, and we  love to trawl the web for inspiring homewares blogs and ideas.

(We even enjoy putting our own interior stories together occasionally too!)

After much careful thought, we have compiled our top five favourite Australian Interiors blogs to follow right now.

Interior Blog # 1 – Ish and Chi

Ish and Chi is one of the most delightful interiors blogs we have come across so far. Started by Viv it documents her journey from buying a house to decorating her sons room before he was born and from there it has blossomed.

Ish and Chi (fish and chips) documents Viv’s inspirations, projects and personal style in one beautifully packaged blog.

Interior Blog # 2 – Interiors Addict

Former journalist and magazine editor Jen Bishop is the founder of Interiors Addict, a girl like any other with little design qualifications, and as she puts it “just a serious love of all things decor and homewares.”

Jen’s exuberance and passion for interiors and beautiful spaces is evident in each and every blog post, whether it be inspirations, new products or how to guides.

Interior Blog # 3 – The Design Files

Melbourne based design guru Lucy Feagins started her blog in 2008, and it has fast evolved into the inspiring, daily design destination it is today.

Lucy’s work has has been featured in the likes of Real Living Magazine, Design Quarterly and Inside Out Magazine. The blog covers everything from Australian architecture to interiors and art, and is a must read for daily home inspiration.

Interior Blog # 4 – Absolutely Beautiful Things

Started way back 2006 by Anna Spiro, who is the owner and curator of a unique shop in Brisbane called Black & Spiro, Anna brings us her talented and inspirations through her blog. The blog is both a source of news and inspiration for home decor, but also an insight into the world of a buyer for an interiors shop.

Interior Blog # 5 – Paint Me White

Sandy is the blogger behind this beautiful online find that really does inspire us to paint everything white (in fact I have done so  many a time). What we love about Sandy is her stance on upcycling furniture and turning old or unused items into something special.

This is a project near and dear to us considering the nature of fast fashion these days and how disposable items are. Just think, there are tables and chairs just waiting to be loved hanging around at your local Vinnies. The blog style is the perfect blend of rustic, beachy and shabby chic.

So tell us: what interior blogs do you love to follow? Are there are we need to know about? Let us know in the comments below!

Cool post – I hadn’t heard of Ethical Code so thanks for the recommendation. As you mentioned was the fate of many other vegan fashion blogs. It’s a shame though because I was fond of her monochromatic minimalism.
