Peek Inside Taylor Swift’s NYC Apartment

You can’t blame Taylor Swift from wanting to keep her NYC sanctuary private. Apart from the odd instagram snap which you’ll see in the gallery below, her home has been kept under wraps from the prying eyes of the world… until now.

Photos of the property Swift purchased in 2014 from film director Peter Jackson have just surfaced, and despite the star’s proud southern heritage, I’m not sure this is what we were all expecting from the 25 year old style queen?? (Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below!)

The sprawling Tribeca penthouse which Swift purchased for a lazy USD $20 million, is 8,300-square feet (771 square metres) of down-home, country-inspired wooden goodness.

In homage to her Nashville roots, the singer’s pad (which includes 7-bedrooms and 5.5-bathrooms) boasts wooden floors, wide-beam ceilings, and a marble kitchen.

There are some serious rustic vibes here – it’s almost as if the comfort of Southern living has been transported right into the big city!

Take a look inside Taylor Swift’s home below and let us know whether this is what you imagined the star would call home:

As Elle Decor explains “The penthouse’s wooden floors and motifs are complemented by rich crimson walls and a cascading staircase that would be equally at home in a Victorian mansion. Plus, a large living room and fireplace area equipped with several couches and a seating space is ideal for all those star-studded parties the singer is known to host.”

I probably would have expected something more modern, but it’s not pretentious.
