There was a time when I would have laughed someone out of the room if they told me that double denim was going to be come a street style darling’s go to outfit.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve got stacks of different styles of jeans and that ever elusive “skinny pair” from when you were 16 that you still dream of fitting back into. Sigh.
The thing about denim and the new era of style is that a pair of jeans is not for schlepping around the shops anymore. Fashion has taken a new turn where bustiers are tops, where socks and sandals can actually look cute, and where Miley Cyrus and Gaga can parade around in meat suits and red thong leotard things and no-body bats an eyelid.
My favourite go-to outfit is a pair of jeans, a white button down from Equipment and a pair of heels. Its flawless- it looks great on everyone, and is dressed up enough for casual meetings or lunch with the girls.
