Product Review: Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant

Our regular guest blogger Sophia from Moulinfrock reviews Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant.

Everything you’ve heard is true: Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant is magical. Just magical. I swore to myself that I would trial the product for at least six weeks before writing a review (FYI it’s only been about three), but I’m in love. I can’t help it. Girl meets exfoliant. Exfoliant meets pores. Exfoliant cleans pores and leaves girl feeling extra smooth and sexy. A modern-day fairytale or what?

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to grab a hold of this baby. But, admittedly, at $83.50 it is a bit to fork out, but believe me – totally worth it. I use it practically everyday I shower (so once a fortnight … jokes …) and my face literally feels like a baby’s bottom, thanks to the Daily Microfoliant and smells amazing, thanks to the shower.

The unique rice-based enzyme powder microfoliates dulling debris (to put it simply the powder turns into paste and makes your skin zing!) and leaves you glowing brighter than seven moons and five suns. It’s fantastic for keeping blackheads at bay and removing those annoying little congested bumps and I don’t know about you, but I just love the feel of a good exfoliation.

I’m a simple girl – my skincare regime pretty much consists of cleansing morning and night, sunscreen, rosehip oil and whatever exfoliator is currently on sale at Priceline. But now, now, I’m starting to become a little bit of a brand whore. After using Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant I kind of want to spend all my savings on a new beauty wardrobe.

If you want an exfoliator that gently scrubs yet noticeably makes a brilliant difference to your skin, look no further. Seriously, I’m actually rubbing my cheeks, chin and nose as I write this. Baby-bottom-smooth. Baby-bottom-smooth. You’re welcome.

I’ve tried the sample given by the salon where I did my facial, this is good stuff.

I really like this! It’s a bit of a combination of both a physical and chemical exfoliant and it definitely makes your skin feel smooth without scrubbing.

I wish i could use dermalogica but unfortunately and surprisingly it can be a bit dodge if you have sensitive skin! 🙁 Awesome if you can use it though and definitely worth giving a shot!

I have quite sensitive skin as well but have no issue with Dermalogica products with the exception of the cleansers, some of which contain sulfate. I have been using their exfoliants for about a year before switching to Proactive and never had an issue. Am actually considering going back because I prefer the results I was getting from the Daily Microfoliant
