Happy Birthday, Olivia Wilde! 13 Of The Star’s Best Looks Here.

BY: LAUREN POLLARD

Ever since Olivia Wilde waltzed onto the set of The O.C. and stole Marissa Cooper’s heart she’s been steadily cementing herself as a style-star in her own right. Whether its her effortlessly cool characters or her bombshell red carpet looks, Olivia is definitely no fading violet.

Celebrating her 32nd birthday on March 10, we count down 13 of our favourite style moments in honour of her iconic TV character ‘Thirteen’ from House.

How’s this for a  #ThrowbackThursday! This may not be her crowning fashion moment (is that a crochet off-the-shoulder jumper?!) but we love how fresh-faced and starry-eyed this pic is and afterall, every star has to start somewhere, right?

By the time she graced our screens in 2007 as the enigmatic “Dr. Remy” (aka ‘Thirteen’) she’d say Bye-Bye to her blonde locks. Her hair was a dark silky chocolate brown that perfectly complimented her creamy skin.

Pictured here at the 2011 premiere of The Change-Up, Olivia’s style star was just beginning to shine. Olivia was an early adaptor to balyage and her long locks and blunt bangs work in perfectly with the futuristic shoulder and neckline of her red dress.

Damn, girl! Fast-forward a few years to 2013 and a red-carpet butterfly has emerged from that awkward crochet-jumper cocoon. Olivia showed up to the premiere of Rushrocking one of the sexiest suits we’ve ever laid eyes on. The hair, the red-lip pout, the plunge, that post – Olivia is giving us everything in this photo.

Olivia’s look has always been a mixture of lady-like luxe and edgy-girl-next-door and in this picture from 2013, she’s managed to blend the two together without looking like a hot mess. The fitted leather crop top and high-waisted pencil skirt may seem unlikely but somehow they’re a match made in heaven on Olivia.

#6

In 2014, Olivia fronted the ‘Boho Chic’ campaign for Revlon and looked nothing short of flawless while doing it. Few people can get away with a bold red lip and a bold blue eye but Olivia is the picture of perfection.

#7

2014 was a big year for Olivia. Not only did she get engaged to her seriously swoon-worthy significant other, Jason Sudukis, the couple also fell pregnant with their first child. Maternity wear on the red carpet can be a tricky one for stars to master. Many fall flat and underwhelm (Kim Kardashian alone spawned thousands of memes) and few manage to fly to new heights. Pregnancy definitely agreed with Olivia though and she nailed every red carpet her and her precious bump deigned to walk upon. This look at the 2014 Golden Globes is a firm fashion favorite and should be in the ‘Red Carpet Maternity 101’ book for all celebs.

Just one short week after giving birth to her first child, Otis, Olivia was back on the red carpet and though fashion-wise her outfit is nothing special it’s noteworthy for the sheer fact that she gave birth a week ago. How does she do it? We’re still trying to figure it out.

9. In what became headline news worldwide, Olivia was shot by Patrick Demarchelier for Glamour magazine and during the shoot they managed to capture the now-iconic (and controversial) shot of Olivia breastfeeding her son. Oozing style and sophistication, Olivia looks every bit the super star she’s grown to be.

#10

Not content with being just a pretty face, Olivia started a business in 2013 with a close friend that specialises in living and shopping with a conscious, the aptly named ‘Conscious Co’, so it seemed like an obvious choice when she became the face of H&M’s Conscious Exclusive collection. Pictured here in a campaign shot for the range (which was stocked exclusively in over 200 H&M stores), Olivia looks naturally beautiful with soft dewy makeup and slightly undone hair. The end result? Breathtaking.

#11

Pictured here with Revlon stablemate Halle Berry, Olivia looks picture perfect in a classic white gown. Live every beauty brand representative should, Olivia kept her dress and shoes simple and understated and let her make-up be the star of the show. That flawless foundation with the bright red lip? Ah-mazing.

#12

At the 2015 premiere of her film Meadowland, Olivia positively glowed in a  Rosie Assoulin red and white dress. This cut-out dress could have failed on another star, but Olivia managed to carry it off with matching red lips, heels and just a hint of bling. Full style points!

Looking every bit the Hollywood princess, Olivia floored everyone with her look at this years Oscars. The jeweled choker, the soft pleats of the dress, the low-key makeup and that perfectly plaited hair, there’s a whole lot to love about this look!
