NYFW Spring 2014: Marchesa

Marchesa for New York Fashion Week Spring 2014 is just as perfect, dramatic and red-carpet worthy as you would expect.

The talented duo behind the internationally renowned label Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig offered up feminine, soft and whimsical numbers that really speak to the Marchesa woman who is glamorous and radiant.

Moving in a slightly new direction, the gowns are sleeker than the voluminous pieces from seasons past. Says Chapman of the collection, “It’s much more relaxed.”

The 1920’s inspiration cited in the show notes was evident, but reinterpreted for a modern woman with vintage sensibilities. Drop waists and use of the beading and embellishments made for a beautiful, demi-couture runway full of perfection.
