12 Dresses To Inspire Your New Years Eve Outfit This Year

BY: VANESSA ROBERTS

Can you believe we are only 2 weeks away from the end of 2015 – already?! I have no idea how this year went so fast, but the one thing I do know is it’s time to find that all-important New Years Eve Outfit!

Even though you may still be grappling with your Christmas to-do list, let’s re-prioritize for a moment and concentrate on seeing 2015 out in the only way we we know how: in fine style of course!

The past few NYE’s have been fairly low-key affairs for me, so this year I’m gravitating to glam with the hope that my plans follow suit! Talk about priorities.

It’s such a fun occasion to shop for, and to be honest I’ve had almost as much fun putting the mood boards together for this story as NYE itself!

If you’re still looking for your perfect New Years Eve outfit, now is the time to get cracking. Take a cue from the shortlist below and head to ‘Farfetch’ to explore thousands of other options from all around the globe. (If you order now you’ll receive in plenty of time, but don’t leave it too late!)

#1 – The Little Black Party Dress

There is no disputing the merit of an LBD and they are a flawless foundation to base any NYE outfit around. Versatile, timeless, and wearable well beyond the strike of midnight, I’m a big advocate for the LBD, and Farfetch has some great ones.

Whether you opt for the sophistication of long-sleeves and lace, channel your inner 90’s supermodel in a strappy Versus, or twirl the night away in classic Alex Perry, just add a pair of gorgeous strappy heels and you’re onto a winner.

#2 – The Glitter Bug

It’s the one night of the year where a little bit (or a lot) of sparkle is not just OK, it’s expected. Thanks to the comeback of maximalism this year, online shopping destinations such as Farfetch have a great selection of fashion-forward pieces to help you embrace your inner glitter bug this NYE!

Whether you add electric voltage to a classic ladylike silhouette, channel your inner David Bowie in a striped sequinned Rodarte number, or go for gold in a streamlined trapeze, the choice is all yours. Add some glitter-dipped strappy shoes and prepare to catch all the limelight.

#3 – The Hostess With The Mostess

If you’re hosting your own soiree this NYE, you’re not only responsible for organising the entire event but for looking effortlessly chic whilst doing it! Whether you’re zipping between guests and in a fuss-free mini dress, making martinis in your lace-topped midi, or directing caterers in your slinky column gown, you’ll exude the vibe of your party in either of these three options. Then add a power stiletto to really show who’s boss.

As shown: Alice + Olivia ‘Sleeveless Metallic Dress’, MSGM ‘Sleeveless Long Flared Dress’, Misha Collection ‘Lace Panels Fitted Dress‘, Casadei ‘Mesh Panel Sandals’.

So, no matter what you have in the pipeline for NYE this year, don’t be afraid to up the ante a little! Start your plans now, though most importantly of all – have fun!
