Michelle Williams: Actress, Mother, Marilyn Monroe?
Well, at least for October, according to US Vogue’s latest issue. In keeping with her upcoming film ‘My Week with Marilyn’, Michelle’s stepped back into character for an editorial that pays beautiful homage to the late sex symbol.
Shot by Annie Leibovitz and styled by Tonne Goodman, the photographs showcase many vintage pieces from like the likes of Ralph Lauren, J.Crew, Donna Karan, and Michael Kors. Fitted silhouettes, feminine lines, and embellishments all help to re-create the essence of Marilyn, and capture her iconic hourglass figure.
Despite Michelle looking a tad awkward in a few of the images, the shoot boasts beautiful lighting, decadent diamonds, and cleverly creates the illusion of it being an actual week with Marilyn, by contrasting the rigid New York cityscape with the relaxed countryside.
