Marilyn Monroe’s Dress Sells for $4.6 Million Dollars!!

The iconic ‘Subway Dress’ worn by Marilyn Monroe in that historical scene in “The Seven Year Itch” went under the hammer in LA and was expected to reach $2 million dollars. The final bid hit double that, at a staggering $4.6 million dollars!

The dress, owned by Debbie Reynolds was auctioned off with a number of her personal Hollywood memorabilia collection and also included Judy Garlands Wizard of Oz slippers that sold for $1.75 million as well as a whole host of iconic movie pieces.

    Wow, someone must really be a fan. I prefer the iconic Gold plunging pleated one – but this is her best known probably followed by the Pink one from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
