How To Show Off Your Prized Possessions (Tastefully!)

As we go through life, we accrue items and objet d’art that colour our lives with their stories and wonderful memories. Impossible to part with, these knick-knacks are often put away in boxes or cupboards – long forgotten until an event like moving into a new house requires you to Marie Kondo your life.

While the minimal interiors trend will always be chic, this lack of exposure to your treasured items is a tragedy!  As the years tick on, the risk of losing the meaning behind your cherished things gets bigger, and the likelihood of their disposal looms large…

So, to avoid having to hide away all of those precious memories and mementos, we’ve put together 6 stylish ways to incorporate those prized possessions into your decor, without it looking like grandma’s place!

#1 – Frame It

Photos are a great token of memory as they take up very little space and they convey meanings and memories instantly. Display your favourite photos for all to see – frame them, hang them up, and be constantly reminded of all the good times!

Companies that offer picture framing in Melbourne allow you to easily display your photos, whilst also turning them into a tasteful, unobtrusive centrepiece that can bring a lot of character and personality to a space.

You have some great taste! I absolutely adore all 6 photo’s in this article. Thank you for the inspiration. It is so cool seeing new things and trying new things, while incorporating old things. The kitchen is stunning. Walmart’s long clearance aisle has adorable plates just like those, a vintage design, for .30-2.00 per plate. Odd enough, I think about the kitchen you have here. I also really am for the cabinets with the glass fronts. Nice overall feel, a vintage royal kitchen.
