This hair trend is easy to dismiss because, let’s face it, it looks like it takes a lot of time and effort. But good news folks; all it takes is time (and no effort). The style-inspiring Lauren Conrad has created an incredibly easy how-to tutorial on YouTube. I’m lazy with my hair (hello topknot), but even I managed to do this without giving up halfway through.

See? Simple. Since I have a lot of hair I used thicker sections than Lauren (I have places to go people. I would’ve been there all day otherwise), but you still get the gist. I rate it a success and will definitely be giving the fishtail braid its first official public appearance this weekend.

My hair’s layered throughout, so I can’t keep enough hair in the actual braid without a gazillion bobby pins!!! I think you need hair of relatively similar length for this to work..
I like it but haven’t tried it yet, hair might be a bit short for it to work on me
