Guest Editor Katelyn Gray: Top Five Spots To Brunch In New York!

Hi everyone!

Well, the month has come to an end, and what a whirlwind month it was, or so it seems at my end! And I have to say it, even though I say it every year Im sure…I can’t believe how quickly the year has flown! Time certainly does fly when you’re having fun!

I hope you have enjoyed my little glimpses into life in NY, I certainly do love it here, and it has provided me with countless opportunities that I never thought I would be accomplishing.

But I have to say, I will always call Sydney home!

I’m going to leave you with one last little taste of New York (literally), and take you quickly through the concept of BRUNCH. We all know that Brunch is an amalgamation of the meals Breakfast and Lunch…and it is every real New Yorker’s favourite meal. On the weekends in New York, brunch is such an entity in itself that most, if not all, restaurants even have their own brunch menu. The ordeal usually doesn’t start until about 11am, and sees its peak around 2pm.

It is best when you are hung over and can tuck into a big bloody mary!

My top 5 brunch spots in New York would have to be the following (in order!): –

1. 5 LEAVES in Williamsburg – Heath Ledger’s brainchild

2. EGG in Williamsburg

3. THE SMILE in Nolita, Manhattan

4. PEELS in East Village, Manhattan

5. BAKERI in Williamsburg

These are five MUST-GO-TO spots for a feast for all the senses…the best way to see New York at it’s finest!

Time to bid adieu!

Much love,

Katelyn
