Good Hair Day: Feel Beautiful Everyday!

I have been chating to our friends at Ry.com.au and they have told me about a fantastic initiative they are getting behind and thought you should ALL KNOW about it as it incorperates some of my favourite things, shopping and contributing to a great cause.

Ry.com.au, Australia’s leading online haircare and beauty retailer, are getting behind National Good Hair Day by teaming up with the Cancer Patients Foundation and the Look Good…Feel Better program.

Ry.com.au are donating 10% of all haircare sales over a 48hour period as a way of giving something back to those who truly deserve a pick-me-up.

The community service program Look Good…Feel Better is “dedicated to teaching cancer patients how to manage the appearance-related side-effects that can be caused by cancer treatment”.

Celebrated on the 27th of September 2013 Good Hair Day was introduced to acknowledge that all women deserve the right to feel beautiful everyday. In an effort to make feeling beautiful more attainable for those facing cancer and the effects of treatments the online beauty retailer feel that it is the perfect program to give back to.

The Look Good…Feel Better program will have helped 10,000 Australians face cancer with confidence by the end of this year. Look Good…Feel Better does this by providing free information and workshops for women, men and teens to deal with the physical side effects of cancer treatment. Workshops include sessions on skin care, makeup, wigs and head coverings. Each participant receives a Confidence Kit, full of products generously donated by the Australian cosmetic industry, and has access to advice and assistance from trained volunteers.

The leading online retailer will be donating 10% of their haircare sales made on the 26th and 27th of September and are official Australian stockists of industry leading brands including Redken, L’Oreal, KMS, Joico, Pureology and Moroccanoil.
