My sister swears she will never put Napoleon on her face… she's really into makeup and knows all the ingredients and all that jazz and for some reason she says it's just not good make up. so m.a.c is the way to go according to her!
However if you are getting Napoleon, I do reccommend the bronze/ pink swirl blush… great for contouring cheeks…

Honestly I use both & like both. It really depends on what you are looking for. MAC has to be the best for foundation, their foundations have great coverage while still looking natural and their colour range is quite diverse. MAC bronzer and blush are also winners, my favourite blush is a subtle pink, suitable on most complexions called 'well dressed'. However Napoleon takes the cake in terms of lipgloss & mascara. I prefer the texture, glaze & shades of Napoleon lip glosses in comparison to MAC. Nap. mascaras are the best I have ever used in any makeup range, if you want to accentuate length and increase volume (who doesnt?) use the Long Black Mascara in Double Black or for an even fuller look my personal favourite is Peep Show Madame Fantasia. x

Never used Napoleon but Mac St Germain lipstick is beautiful. I love the colours in the Mac range….Mac shopping spree this weekend!
Does anyone know if Myer do Mac makeovers in Sydney?? and how much they are with product redemption?

Definitely MAC!
Mac at Myers does do makeovers, i think you have to make a booking first and its $90, which is redeemable in products.

(this judgment has nothing to do with napoleon making me pack boxes of lipsgloss for 2 days while i was on work experience ) BUT seriously even though mac is a little more expensive than napoleon, i think its worth the money.

Once you go MAC you never go back! Unless of course you run out of moolah from buying too much I bought MAC foundation when i visited America a few years back and i haven't found a foundation with better coverage since! As well as this, the blush i bought from MAC four years ago has still not run out, after using it at least three times a week every week. My friend wore Napoleon make-up to her formal and it also had a very nice finish, but i cannot rave about MAC enough.

I only own 3 items from MAC.. I like them, but I'm not the biggest fan because their price.. I just can't relate *unemployed student*
But I don't like NP. I have never tried any of their products, but seeing articles about their company relabelling from private companies turns me off completely. That just means they buy for cheap, restamp and then resell to us.. So.. nope :(
MAC is expensive, but you get exactly what you pay for, I guess :) I only buy *essential* products from MAC [because I'm not a high-roller]. For example, foundation and concealer. For blushers, bronzers, [especially] mascaras.. those items can be picked at a lower end brand ^-^

To me, I prefer MAC because it has a more natural look. I am a little older now, and I need a deeper layer of foundation in order to cover up the wrinkles, fine lines and age spots. At some point, I'm going to have to opt for the new lifestyle lift procedure, but until then, it's going to have to be MAC even though it's a little more expensive.
Can anyone recommend a good face peel doctor? I don't want to look like I am sunburned afterwords, though!

I use napoleon china doll foundation and love it for a night look, it takes a few layers but gives great coverage, but I can not compare to mac as I have never used it. After reading all these comments I am definitely going to have to try it out :)

MAC is the way to go. All the professionals use it. It can be a bit steeper in price compared to other brands but it is worth it!
