Hair is a tricky thing to master. From colour to cut to style there are a million mistakes to make that could destroy your dreams of glossy Duchess of Cambridge waves in an instant. A bad ‘do isn’t always easy to identify, so its likely you’ve got used to it, or loved it so much on you’re favourite celeb you think of them every time you look in the mirror. But the truth is there are a number of things you may be doing that are in fact making you look much older.
Here are five ageing hair mistakes you need to know about…
#1 Ultra Long Hair
Many people associate ultra long hair with youth, and think it will help them look just like they did at 15. Sadly, this is far from true. Long hair can drag your face down and increase the visibility of any bags under your eyes or wrinkles in doing so.
What’s more, long hair is a lot more difficult to maintain, and if you’re not as young as you’d like to be, your hair may be dry and damaged, which, en masse in the form of long locks, can only emphasise ageing.
Instead, opt for a clean and modern cut that offers flexibility – sitting somewhere between your shoulder and chin. If Jerry Hall can snip of her trademark long locks, so can we.
