Hollywood has once again taken over the entirety of Cannes for the annual film festival, and as much as we are excited for the quality films the red carpet fashion is what really gets us going!

Eva Longoria has stolen the show thus far with her amazing Marchesa gown with a train that goes on for miles. Other standouts include Lana Del Ray, Frieda Pinto and Marion Cotillard.

In an interesting move from the troubled young actress, Mischa Barton poses pretty next to “Mr. Panda” in an artistic new shoot for photographer Tyler Shields for his new gallery Mouthful. 

Some of the scenes are disturbingly reminiscent of Furry Fetishism (if you don’t know…you don’t want to) as Mischa wears a giant panda hat matched with a lovely white dress and black pumps.

There is also surprisingly cute video featuring Mischa and Mr. Panda falling in love set to the whimsical warblings of Louis Armstrong.

The first image of Olivia Palermo as the face of Rochas’ new fragrance Les Cascades de Rochas, has finally dropped and it most certainly isn’t what I expected.

Rather than a sultry advertising campaign – as is often the norm from many major perfume houses – Olivia is photographed here looking practically giddy with pleasure, head thrown back in absolute delight. The effect is both charming and carefree and sure to attract the younger consumer the luxury fashion house clearly craves.

Shot by Camilla Akrans by the fountain outside of Paris’ Palais Royal, the campaign cleverly takes its inspiration from Apollo’s fountain in Delphi with the perfume itself a heady mix of musk, mango, pinapple, and bergamot with notes of Sichuan pepper.

No word on whether the fragrance will officially launch in Australia as of yet however it is now available in France with other European countries to follow from August.

With 21 shows under the belt at this years Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, we look back at highlights from none other than leading nail brand OPI.

It was clear this year that designers were not only looking to make a statement with their designs but nails were a also huge feature this year. Bold polishes and various methods of nail art were used to compliment designers collections with clear evidence that colour, from pastels to bright neons, will continue to be a huge trend this Summer.

White polishes  will also be a trend for the summer, complementing collections  from Zimmermann and Bec & Bridge, it offers a fresh approach to any outfit.

The new nail trend featured was the reverse French Manicure, nude or white nails with coloured tips, as seen at Carla Zampatti and Lisa Ho. For me these are the easiest nail art to recreate and you can use the white strips  in the French manicure set at home if you don’t have a steady hand. Also the reverse moon nail  featured at both Maticevski and Johanna Johnson, can be done using the same strips to get a clean edge.

Following the breaking news that  Condé Nast/Fairchild Fashion Media announced  the acquisition of  Fashion Networks International, which is best known for Nowmanifest today’s news announced the exit of editor-in-chief Kirstie Clements from Vogue Australia.

NewsLifeMedia executive Nicole Sheffield announced to the media today that Edwina McCann, formerly of rival publication Harper’s Bazaar will take over the role.

Clements was one of three seniors within News Magazines to be axed including Mark Kelly (Lifestyle group editor) and Richard Waller (Inside Out Magazine).

Says McCann of her new appointment “I started my career at Vogue and I am very excited about returning to work for the world’s most powerful fashion media brand. The opportunities for this formidable brand online and in a social media landscape are endless and our future is very bright indeed.”
