In a similar vein to Ralph Laurens use of Australian criminals from the 1930’s in their recent campaigns, Dolce & Gabbana employs the incredibly stunning Bianca Balti and Monica Belluci to the reference the inspirations of real life in playing fictional matriarchs of a traditional Italian family.
Despite the obvious engineered quality of the shots somehow they smack of authenticity and it may come down to the impeccable styling and perfectly employed camera techniques by Giampaolo Sgura.
It helps that the campaign was shot in southern Italy too!
The campaign references a traditional Sunday morning and features fun florals and sultry lingerie inspired pieces.
What do you all think of the campaign?
