Dear September Guest Post: Metallic Madness

Turn up the heat! Add some shining shimmering goodness to your home!

Matte or shiny, we think metallic shades in the home is a fun way to add colour and warmth to a room, but still keeping it quite natural & easy to incorporate into the existing decor in the room.

Go big and bold with a metallic feature by incorporating tiles, countertops, wall paper, and statement painted walls in soft silvers, tones of gold, copper or brass.  For a milder approach add tiny flecks of metallic by adding small metal trinkets like candlesticks, frames, mirrors, metallic coloured soft furnishings like carpets and cushions.

And if you’re feeling super creative, make a statement out of your storage by using big metal bins, create a feature on a wall by adding a mix of silver, gold and brass frames in a range of different sizes, or create a collage of vintage mirrors.

Go mad with metallic’s!! If fun and you can find lots of different options available!

All of  homewares featured in the collage are available at www.dearseptember.com.au, happy shopping!
