This latest short film, Coco – Inside CHANEL, from the eponymous label is a delightful, whimsical and captivating trip down the rabbit hole of Coco Chanel’s AMAZING life.
The animated short is a part of a series of videos bringing light to key moments in the French luxury brand’s growth and journey with this one focusing on Chanel’s life at an orphanage, her dreams, her true love and her revolutionary effect on womens style as well as liberation.
All of these incredible experiences added fuel to the fire from which the ingenuity of Chanel was forged. The brand cites her love of architecture and paired with a fascination for baroque-inspired ornamentation drawn from her time at a religious orphanage as an inspiration point for much of her designs.
We learn of her true love Boy Capel who opened her life and mind to more experiences. Upon his death she says, “Either I die as well, or I finish what we started together.”
And finish she did.
