BWA Chats To Ronda Elmasri of Lovers & Collaborators

A label newly brought to the attention of BWA, Lovers & Collaborators has quickly won us over with their beautiful and on trend pieces, with a vintage feel. BWA had a quick chat to Ronda, the designer and founder about the labels inspiration, fashion and her perfect breakfast guest.

What is the inspiration behind the label?

I have always loved high end clothes but its just not practical for most women to afford them all the time, so I really wanted to create a label that had a luxury ‘it-girl’ aesthetic without the price tag or compromising on quality.

How would you describe the latest collection?

It has a real vintage rock and roll vibe, very Marianne Faithful in the 70’s.  There are lots of embellishments, details, pleats and dramatic silhouettes.

Key piece that sums up the collection?

The Pearl Dress in Cream – the colour is so perfect for winter, the beading is intricate with a feminine edge, mixed with some grit!

Who is the Lovers and Collaborators girl?

A trend setting ‘it girl’ who travels the world and getting high on life!

The one thing in your wardrobe you can’t live without?

The pleated pants from my Winter range – can’t leave home without them!

If you could have Breakfast with any fashionable person, who would it be?

The Editor of Japanese Vogue – Anna Dello Russo
